Good morning! Hope my fellow Americans had a crazy fun time cheering on the Super Bowl with lots of good food!
Lately, I’ve been really into decorating my apartment with floral arrangements. I’ve always been fond of using flowers as natural air fresheners, but it was actually only a few months ago that I discovered just how much they can brighten up a room! A project I gave myself for the start of 2015 was to redecorate my bedroom (new year, new vibes, new luck – that sort of thing), and so bouquets from the local Farmer’s Market have become a regular thing here.
But it isn’t just in my room that you can see some floral sights. I’ve also been recycling some of my spring wardrobe and implementing them into my winter-wear, and floral prints are a recurring theme. There’s just something about the pattern that creates a vibrant yet carefree – almost innocent – aura, and because florals pose as delightful contrasts against a sea of dark winter hues, don’t save your blossom-printed clothing for only the warmer months! Flowers are perfect for all four seasons – in fact, the tree outside of my house just shed all its leaves and is starting to bloom some beautiful white petals – but if you’re still a little hesitant on wearing florals in winter, take a look at some of my favorite flower power styles below for some inspiration.
