If I can only use one word to sum up my weekend, it would be FOOD. So much food. Just Saturday dinner alone, I had all-you-can-eat Japanese seafood for $30/person, so naturally I shoveled as much sashimi into my belly as possible and resulted in a massive food coma.
But food aside, I spent a great Labor Day long weekend back at home with family, and I even found myself face-to-face with a giant Pokéball on Saturday! It was also that day that I chose to go with an old but beloved item in my closet: This open-shoulder top is both dreamy and romantic with its chiffon material, button-down back, and baby-pink hue, and I love the way it softly falls on my frame. To counter the sheer effect of the top, I layered a simple (and very budget-friendly) cami underneath, and to keep the overall silhouette soft, I paired it with these American Eagle shorts (last seen here) and added some contrast to the flowy look with low pointed-toe pumps (also love this mesh style).
Other gorgeous open-shoulder styles:
Wells Grace Colette Blouse (Olivia Palermo’s pick on Piperlime!)
Boohoo Charlotte Top
Boohoo Eliza Woven Strappy Blouse
GUESS Neon Tee
YesStyle Ruffle Chiffon Top
YesStyle Rose Pattern Top
And now that it’s officially September, the fashion world is all abuzz with activity, because Fashion Week madness kicks off this week in New York City! I indulged in some Labor Day sales shopping and I wish I could show them off at NYFW, but until I can be there physically one day, I’ll just be sitting here by my computer anxiously waiting to see photographs from all the gorgeous collections and sartorially savvy models, bloggers, and editors!
