OFF-DUTY: GIRLFRIEND JEANS AND LASER-CUT WEDGES

Good morning, and a happy Friday to you all!

I’m actually feeling a little bummed out at the moment because I just finished watching the season finale of The Big Bang Theory and the penultimate season episode of (don’t laugh) The Vampire Diaries. It’s almost like the writers of my favorite shows this season were in competition with each other to see who could best tear their audience down into a bucketful of shocked and devastated tears! But no matter, it’s finally Friday again, and that calls for some end-of-the-week relaxation (and some catch-up errands/chores too).

One of my favorite off-duty staple pieces is the ~~boyfriend~~ girlfriend jean. Girlfriend jeans are a somewhat-new denim style that’s popped up this past year, featuring a slightly slimmer (and thus more curve-flattering) silhouette than the classic boyfriend jeans. I love this pair from Halogen; it’s the perfect light shade for spring/summer, and it’s super soft and stretchy, making it ridiculously comfortable while adding that cool, laid-back vibe to your outfit. And when you have a pair of jeans that makes you feel that great, the only other thing you really need is a casual t-shirt and a good, sturdy pair of heels that offers an instant uplift to your look. That’s where my Restricted wedges come in! With a cork wedge and intricate laser-cut details, the shoes automatically upgrade the slouchy vibe of the relaxed jeans.
