Happy Monday! Just wanted to churn out the rest of my September NYFW posts before they become completely obsolete! I was able to attend Francesca Liberatore’s show at the Skylight at Moynihan Station during the first week of NYFW and needless to say, it was a show-stopping affair (my apologies, these photos don’t do it justice!). Fun note: what was probably as show-stopping as the collection itself was Miss Universe and Miss USA seated in the front row looking impeccably chic as usual!
I loved that for this spring/summer collection, Liberatore embraced juxtaposition with cool-season fabrics such as suede, velvet, and satin which were then cut into summery silhouettes (think slip dresses, t-shirt dresses, and rompers) in vibrant colors. Meanwhile, I chose to attend in my safe colors – a dark olive billowy jumpsuit that aligned with the collection’s balloon and pleated silhouettes, complemented by this season’s dominating jacket trend – the bomber in black.
For your consideration, here is the gallery in which you can view Francesca Liberatore’s complete SS17 collection! Enjoy, and see you soon as I wrap up my remaining thoughts from NYFW!
