Well, you already saw my first look on my short weekend trip to San Francisco, and I really wasn’t kidding when I said that my faux leather jacket and a scarf became my essentials for the trip! This time, I swapped my dark leopard scarf for this navy wool one from Cole Haan (an old Christmas present from H). The weather forecast had predicted some rain, but luck was on our side and the worst we saw was a bit of chill in the temperature during the early hours of the day, and my wool scarf shielded me well from the morning cold. By the afternoon, it was warm enough for me to ditch the scarf.
I guess when I was packing for this trip, my subconscious knew I wanted to somehow incorporate a refreshing burst of color into my outfit, and this royal blue ruched skirt definitely came into good use! Because of its high-waisted element and its bodycon fit, it complemented well with a boxy cropped top against an all-black outfit. As for the crop top, it featured a cut-out back (pictured below), and rather than doing the norm and using a bra that wouldn’t interfere with the cut-out, I chose to go with one that offered an intricate, strappy racerback so that the bra could actually be highlighted! Some underwear are just meant to peek out.
