Dramatic Lines: Bell Sleeves and Draped Vest

Wow, can’t believe it’s been almost two months since my last post! But that’s the downside of blogging – if you have no consistent photographer to help you document your #ootd (and honestly, it’s just been too hot and humid to stand outside for more than 2 minutes at a time), you don’t exactly have much material to work with. But thankfully, I have enough to post on Instagram almost daily so you can stay updated there!

This set was taken last month when I went back to LA for a couple of weeks. Dramatic silhouettes are always fun to try out, so I went with one of the season’s covetable trends – the bell sleeves – and paired it under a black suede drape vest. My sister called it a ‘pirate look,’ but no matter, because bell sleeves are ridiculously fun to sport, even though you have to be careful not to accidentally drag the sleeves through food! Practically everything I’m wearing in these photos is now sold out, but with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, you can find similar pieces…at great prices! Win!
