As I’m writing this post, I’m snuggled in my warm hotel bed listening to Taylor Swift and already missing Paris even though I’m still physically here, since I’ll be jetting off to London tomorrow afternoon and have absolutely no idea when I’ll be back in this beautiful city again. For those of you who are thinking of visiting Paris for the first time, here’s some advice: don’t be like me and try to squeeze everything into 3.5 days. It is not enough time and you will tire yourself silly. Instead, take an entire week to fully soak in all that the city has to offer and you’ll enjoy it much more that way.
But Paris is definitely as beautiful as they say. Dirty, no doubt, as there is no shortage of spit and dog poop on the sidewalks, but nevertheless beautiful. Years ago, I fell in love with the architecture from photos I’ve seen in books, websites, and then later on Instagram, and I fell in love all over again with it once I saw the buildings in person. It’s almost impossible to be bored here, and it is really difficult to take a bad picture; everywhere you go is just so picturesque! On this particular day, the weather was overcast and I had to keep warm by bundling up in my wool coat from Mango, but even with the clouds and the chilly breeze, it was still a gorgeous day to be walking around and exploring the sights.
Stay tuned for a recap of my adventures in Paris! This will have to wait until I get back home and regain my energy (and wit)!
