Remember my little piece on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? The day that I went into the store to peek at the sale, I couldn’t resist picking up a few items, and this Halogen jeweled sweatshirt and black skirt came home with me, even though I had told myself prior to walking in through the doors that I would just look and not buy (in my defense – a stressful week does make for a weakened self-restraint).
Anyways, when I had purchased those two items, I had no idea that I would be able to wear them out so soon! Originally, I had bought the sweatshirt and the skirt to “get ready and stock up for the fall season” – verbatim thoughts from my brain – but the next day, the temperatures decided to drop significantly… enough for me to deem it appropriate to wear out a sweatshirt and stockings in the middle of summer. Crazy huh? But no regrets anywhere! I love that this work-to-weekend sweatshirt features a jeweled adornment around the neckline; it takes away the need for any fuss with statement necklaces. The embellishment definitely puts a sophisticated and trendy spin on this timeless sweatshirt, and I sense lots of easy opportunities to wear it in the future.

Thank you! I actually got the booties almost a year ago, also at Nordstrom, but unfortunately, I think the style is sold out by now 🙁 For reference, if you want to do your own search, they are Sam Edelman ‘Kit’ boots!
