Yes, it makes me look like I have the arms of a flying squirrel, but I love my batwing cardigan. I’ve had this for a while now, and it’s been featured on this blog a couple of times already, but I can seriously wear it again and again with different outfits (not to mention I’ve received so many envious comments and compliments from it!). Paired with a simple black surplice top with denim shorts and buckled booties, it makes for a polished yet relaxed summer look.
And speaking of summer, I recently allowed myself to fully indulge in one of my absolute favorite summer activities – leisure reading. And I’m not talking about modern-day Kindle/tablet reading. I’m referring to the old-fashioned and classic style of settling into a comfortable position with an actual book in hand with physical pages to turn. Call me old-world but I will never get used to reading books on a tablet. I honestly can’t stand it; it’s just not the same! Plus, as my mother would say, staring at a screen for too long ruins your eyes!
But anyways, if you’re an avid reader like me and want a brilliant recommendation, I highly encourage you to look into Scott Mariani’s books, specifically his Ben Hope series. If you love history mixed with conspiracy and endless action (precision driving, shoot-outs, explosions, clandestine operations, under-the-radar continent-hopping, and so much more), this is definitely a series for you to take on. So far, there are nine books in the series; I’ve read them all multiple times and still have yet to grow tired of them!
Happy Sunday!
