ALL BLACK, NO SLEEP - josephine ellen

Oh my goodness, I had the worst insomnia last night! I’m currently writing this at 6:30am, still fully wide awake, so it’s safe to say I didn’t get any sleep at all last night nor will I be getting any shut-eye this morning either. I believe the blame for this crazy insomnia experience goes to the green tea I indulged in after dinner last night. It’s a lesson I have yet to learn, apparently, although strangely, the caffeine in green tea has never affected me this strongly before. Can you imagine how wired I would have been if I had drank some strong coffee instead? There’s nothing quite as frustrating as laying there in the dark for hours just wishing and waiting for sleep to swallow you up. Maybe this is how my dog feels when she’s awake at night, just sitting there staring off into space waiting for time to pass…

Anyways, over the past weekend, I had the pleasure of collaborating once again (remember this post?) with my friend Calvin! It was a semi-gloomy day, but the lack of a bright sun worked to our advantage with these photos. The slightly chilly weather also gave me a chance to wear my favorite get-up: leather jacket + boots. I completely forgot that my black semi-sheer top boasts a really pretty and unique satin pleated feature on the back, so you won’t be able to see it in this article, but I love the shirt so much that I’ll definitely be wearing it again the next time the weather decides to cool down.
