A BIT OF BLACK AND WHITE

A quick hello!

It’s not even officially midweek and I’m already tired and just ecstatically looking forward to the weekend (Transformers: Age of Extinction film release this Friday!). But in the meantime, here’s a bit of a black and white outfit inspiration. I love a good old tee that features a zippered pocket tee, because that one little embellishment can transform an average shirt into one that looks polished and chic! Just see for yourself – remember this “Laidback Sunday” post? It’s the same skirt, but with a change of the top (and shoes), the outfit channels a completely different vibe!

In other news, Ed Sheeran’s new album “x” is now out and fully available! I haven’t completely listened to all the tracks yet, but so far, I’m head over heels in love with Photograph (beautiful lyrics), Bloodstream, and Afire Love, and really, just everything in general. Here’s a little trivia: Although Ed Sheeran personally writes all of his songs, “Afire Love” is possibly the most personal one on this album. He started writing it two weeks before the passing of his grandfather, who had been struggling with Alzheimer’s disease for almost twenty years. For all of you fellow peers who have lost a beloved grandparent, I hope “Afire Love” has as big of an emotional impact on you as it does on me. It, along with all of the other songs on the album, is powerfully written and is undeniably a work of true art.

As always, thanks for reading!
